Charlotte Johnson was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on January 18, 1917 . Since she was a child, she has distinguished herself by excelling in every activity she undertakes: from studying piano to school. Gets a scholarship for the Kansas City Art Institute ( left ); subsequently he started working for the Gernes Garment Company. In 1939, at age 22, he got engaged, moved to New York on 7th avenue. But sentimental life suffers and in 1949 Charlotte decides to move to Los Angeles, alone.

In Los Angeles Charlotte opened his first boutique, also frequented by some movie stars, and taught drapery and fashion history at the Chouinard Institute , founded in 1921 with the intention of creating a renowned art school on the west coast.
