Negli Stati Uniti esce come esclusiva dei magazzini Mervyn per celebrare i 35 anni di attività (1949-1984). Il corpo è lo stesso della Ballerina del 1976, col movimento rotatorio del bacino più ampio e le mani dedicate. Il body ha una scollatura squadrata e un tutù di tulle a due veli.

After the 1976 Barbie Ballerina with the TNT face, this model with the Superstar face was released in 1984. In the United States it comes out as exclusive Mervyn Stores to celebrate 35 years of activity (1949-1984). The body is the same as the Ballerina's 1976 body, with a wider rotating movement of the pelvis and dedicated hands. The leotard has a square neckline and a tulle tutu with two veils.

In the United Kingdom Ballerina Barbie comes in a slightly different packaging. The inside of the box is blue instead of pink , enlivened by some colored "spots" of light . This Barbie is also produced in Taiwan. Nel Regno Unito la Barbie Ballerina viene proposta con una confezione leggermente diversa. L’interno della scatola è blu anziché rosa , ravvivato da alcuni “spot” di luce colorati . Anche questa Barbie è prodotta a Taiwan.
