Nel 1982 entra nelle case il video “ Jane Fonda Workout ”: la celeberrima attrice, indossando una tutina di spandex colorata, insegna a fare aerobica nel salotto di casa propria. E’ un successo: la moda dell’aerobica dilaga e fino al 1985 vengono pubblicati 23 video. Il guardaroba femminile aumenta arricchendosi di body, tutine e scaldamuscoli coloratissimi : Barbie Great Shape si fa entusiastica portavoce di questo stile di vita attivo, indossa un aderentissimo body azzurro e diventa così un altro modello iconico di casa Mattel!

I n 1982 the video " Jane Fonda Workout " enters the houses: the famous actress, wearing a colorful spandex jumpsuit, teaches how to do aerobics in the living room of her home. It is a success: the trend of aerobics is rampant and 23 videos are published until 1985. The women's wardrobe increases enriching itself with colorful leotards, rompers and leg warmers : Barbie Great Shape becomes an enthusiastic spokesperson for this active lifestyle, she wears a very tight blue body and thus becomes another iconic model of the Mattel house!

Above , two variants of the standard packaging produced in the Philippines . The first is the basic version and shows the writing, under the Barbie name, " It is elegant and terrific! ". The variant on the right has, as an additional accessory, the personalized bag and the writing under the Barbie name reads: " With her own workout bag ". Another version of the Great Shape contains the " walkman " that Barbie listens to during her aerobics sessions.
